Technical Department

The Technical Department works closely with the Projects Department.

The Projects team, made up of some 30 employees with skills in mechanics, electricity, machining, welding and piping, serves as a subcontractor within the Cascades Group. Its objective is to increase mill productivity, be it by overhauling them, installing new equipment, or simply altering the existing machinery.

On a number of occasions, the Department has also disassembled used equipment, reconditioned it and put it back into production.

Meanwhile the Technical Group made up of some 20 technicians and engineers constitutes a consulting-engineering group

Their main job is to do feasibility and profitability studies in response to client requests. They are responsible for preparing engineering drawings and carrying out projects either through the Projects Department or through subcontractors.
